Our Nature Reflected

Our Nature Reflected

They sat there listening one night,

as the old dragon told the tale

Of humans, those vicious, ugly brutes,

flying around and killing wholesale

They fly across the sea and land,

hunting for their prey,

They slay mothers, cubs as well as defenders,

anyone who gets in their way,

Not stopping to eat what they kill,

they do it for the buried treasure

Stuff and things that lay in the ground,

they seem to value without measure

Don’t let the story scare you my children,

though humans are very strange indeed

They are after all, imaginary creatures,

found only in the storybooks we read.
