What’s lurking just under the surface of your mind?

I was at the doctors having my blood pressure taken. So, to relax and try get a lower reading, I started to think about a flat, glassy ocean reflecting a lovely sky.

It didn’t work !

Half way through a huge white pointer broke the surface.

Enough to make your blood pressure go up!!!!!   😦

It’s a jungle out there!

My normally uneventful morning jog, today involved ‘3 swooping magpies’ and a ‘small yapping furry thing’ that thought it was a ‘wolf’. BEWARE of swooping magpies, especially Mums and kids returning to school today. Also BEWARE, ‘small yappy furry thing’, THE KIDS ARE BACK!!!!!!!

One thing that would I change, I had the opportunity!

I would change very little, however:

Every now-and-then an, emotion based, impetuous response creeps in and causes me to go 'Aaaaagh……….' . That would be the thing that I would tweak.

FICTIONAL BOOK TITLE 3

FICTIONAL BOOK TITLES

A little indulgence of mine is to create book titles that reflect some of the attributes of books or characters I have read,

and,

who better to be the author of that book , than the characters themselves.

The following books DO NOT exist of course, but they SHOULD!!!

~~~~~
1. ‘How (not) to Keep Your Head Above Water’
or
‘Calamari Soup
by C. Nemo.
(Voted the world’s most captivating tour guide.)
(This book-title came to me after reading Jules Verne’s  ‘20,000 Leagues Under the Sea‘)
~~~~~

FICTIONAL BOOK TITLES 1 & 2

The following books DO NOT exist of course, but they SHOULD!!!

~~~~~
1. ‘(not so) Effective Teaching Strategies
by Wackford Squeers
(Obviously a ‘founding father’ of British education.)
(This book-title came to me after reading Charles Dickens ‘Nicholas Nickleby‘)
~~~~~

2. ‘How to Live a Long and (not so) Healthy Life

by Jason Bourne

Ten books and still not dead going strong.

(This book-title sprang to mind after reading the ‘Bourne’ series of books , written by Robert Ludlum and then Eric Van Lustbader.)

I love my ROOMBA!

As you can see,  I did the vacuuming this morning. A beautiful day.. I may go for a jog and a swim this afternoon… It’s a great life and ‘boy! DO I LOVE MY ROOMBA ROBOT’

Book Rating System

The F.D.R.S.B.

(The Friday Dubious Rating System for Books)

The FDRSB is a five star rating system.

The most your book can earn is 6 out of 5 stars!

All books start with three stars!

*** You’ve written a whole damned book, so, you deserve at least three.

**** You earn a 4th star if you send me on an entertaining trip away from reality.

***** Five stars if I finish reading the book. (eventually!)

****** Six out of five stars if your writing is so good that you can afford , and do, send me 50 Shekels for the plug.

Note: You do not have to have earned five stars to try for your sixth.
